Why Virtual Medical Scribes – Physicians Angels

Why Virtual Medical Scribes? – Physicians Angels Physicians Angels has provided Virtual Medical Scribe services to doctors nationwide since 2007. We created the company out of personal frustrations with growing amounts of medical data that had to been entered into our EHRs, interfering with patient time. We designed our Virtual Medical Scribe service based on research showing that EHRs increase data-entry time and medical office staffing cost, without demonstrating real gains in a doctors productivity. We felt EHRs end up converting the most expensive labor doctors and nurses into low-paid, data-entry personnel. Add to this the high cost of EHR software programs, and Physicians Angels identified a growing market need for data management personnel. (This is one way to view a medical scribe.) We also came to believe that, just as CT scanners and other expensive medical technology require trained technicians, EHRs require highly- trained medical scribes to ensure their efficient and productive use. Our Virtual Medical Scribes whom we call Angels perform routine administrative functions for doctors that do not require more expensive onsite staffing. Our Virtual Medical Scribes are located offsite in data management centers linked to a medical office via the Internet. Imagine them as executive or medical assistants, but who work for your office remotely. Among the core tasks our Virtual Medical Scribe “Angels” perform during medical exams: Transcribe patient visits for doctors in real-time, using VoIP software Document clinical information in the doctors EHR Enter relevant CPT/ICD codes into the EHR for billing purposes Process e-prescriptions in the doctors EHR Our Virtual Medical Scribes learn a medical practices EHR to date, we have worked successfully with several dozen and adapt to the practices existing IT infrastructure. We group our Virtual Medical Scribes by medical specialty and deliver our services via employee leasing arrangements. This allows… Read more »

Where To Buy Vitamins

Where to buy vitamins? Hmmm… Let’s jump right into it, okay? STAY THE HECK OUT OF THE DRUGSTORE! Now that we got that out of the way, let’s explore our remaining options of where to buy vitamins. Grocery Store? No. Fitness Supplement Store? Perhaps. Health Food Store? Definitely. Online? If from a trustworthy source, yes. In all reality, it’s more a matter of what vitamins to buy than of where to buy vitamin & mineral supplements. Typically, however, the kinds of supplements that actually nourish and support the human body are in short supply in a chain grocery outlet or “Drug” store. We absolutely do NOT want to buy “drugs.” What we DO want to buy are all natural whole-food vitamins & minerals. These supplements contain ingredients that our bodies recognize and can actually use (what a concept, right?). Synthetic vitamins are nothing more than drugs disguised as vitamins. They’re manufactured chemically, in some lab by folks in white coats. Their mineral content is basically just crushed up rocks, which can cut up our sensitive internal tissues, cells, and vessels. They taste disgusting, give us nasty “vitamin burps”, and usually just end up as expensive fluorescent urine! Let this be your first clue! Whole-food vitamins are made from concentrated grasses, algae, vegetables, flora, leaves, bark, roots, berries, fruits, and ocean vegetation, among other superb natural ingredients. They contain probiotics, chelated and trace minerals, high-quality proteins, amino acids, a full supply of amazing vitamins, fantastic Ph levels, fiber, and essential fatty acids. No matter where you buy this type of vitamin & mineral supplement, just please make sure you do, in fact, buy this type of vitamin & mineral supplement. The benefits are mind-blowing: Healthy, Rapid Weight Loss Amazing, Lasting Energy Levels Dramatic Dissipation of Aches and Pains Phenomenal, Stable Emotional… Read more »

Hypertension And Cardiovascular Disease – Information

is always related with each other. This is because the blood pressure levels increases because of cardiac overload. Sounds complicated? Hang on with me and I’ll discuss symptoms and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Cardiovascular diseases belong to the world’s mot wanted top killer diseases. Almost 50% of the cases are atherosclerosis or clogging of the arteries which results into angina and hypertension. How are arteries clogged up?up? Arteries are clogged because of the accumulated unsaturated fats and cholesterol in the blood that attach themselves into the arterial walls. They are later calcified into the walls of the arteries and may completely or partially block the flow of blood which carries oxygen towards the heart. When the flow of blood is blocked, the heart experiences myocardial ischemia or decreased oxygen supply to the heart muscles. Myocardial ischemia results into increased pumping of the heart to compensate for the demand of oxygen. This results into cardiac overload which a patient can feel as a series of palpitations. Cardiac overload then results into hypertension. Myocardial ischemia can also result into angina pectoris or the pain felt in the center of the chest. This must not be mistaken for an ordinary heart burn. Angina may sometimes indicate a pending cardiac arrest or a heart attack. Prolonged myocardial ischemia and angina can result into myocardial infarction or death of heart tissues. This condition id beyond normal and is a life-threatening situation. Cardiovascular disease treatment is divided into two: The medical management and surgical management. Medical management includes nitroglycerin patches which serve a pain relief for angina, beta blockers and calcium antagonists for hypertension and other cardiovascular drugs. Worst Medical Negligence Claims In History

Despite the advanced preparation that doctors have, there are still some unfortunate cases when patients are wrongfully diagnosed and they end up in a worse health state or even die. While mistakes are easier to ignore in other domains, when it comes to humans’ health it is basically impossible to close an eye to this kind of treatment. Such was the case of several patients who are known today as the worst cases of medical malpractice in history. At the top of the list are two unfortunate male patients who have lost their genital organs as a result of their doctors’ incompetence. First, an American doctor, named Francisco Ortiz has accidentally immersed the penis of his patient in a solution that contained too much acid causing severe physical mutilations. Another mistake was performed by a Romanian doctor who in an act of insanity cut off his patient’s penis and then chopped it into smaller pieces. Both patients haven’t been able to fully recover after these incidents. The second worst medical negligence took place in the 70s when doctor James Burt performed a series of surgical operations on their female patients without their consent, more specifically, he modified their genital organs in order to test whether the women will obtain increased sexual responsiveness or not. The results didn’t turn out as planned for the majority of the women faced severe complications which had to be solved through further surgical interventions. Surgeries are the most dangerous medical procedures according to a recent report because many medical claims are filed as a result of the mistakes that doctors… Read more »
